The Tuscaloosa Marines 5K Memorial Run

The Mike Spann Detachment has enjoyed support of the running community, and many other interested supporters, for our annual 5K run. Like many other such endeavors, this was interrupted by the Covid-19 crisis. We appreciate our friends and partners in the community who have continued to support us during the pandemic, and as we move forward serving Marines in west Alabama.

For 2024 our cross-country 5K event will take place on Saturday morning, 17 February 2024 at Sokol Park, off Ol' Colony Road in Tuscaloosa. Please browse to www.runsignup.com and search for Tuscaloosa Marines 5K Memorial Run. We encourage everyone to preregister for the run using those online tools.

Our run is an approved Grand Prix event with runner entries and times managed by the Tuscaloosa Track Club .Our run is concurrently a run/walk, so walkers are also welcome. Runners may email us at the link below to receive a copy of the registration brochure, or you may download a copy at the link on this website. We hope you will come out and join us for the race and the camaraderie!

Where: Sokol Park, at Ol Colony Road in Tuscaloosa. Look for parking near the barn type structure, and for the check-in tables across the road from the barn and near the start/finish line of the course.
